Elizabeth Ingram Carlyle grew up in the small town of Diboll, Texas, and graduated from Baylor University and Baylor Law School. She enjoyed an almost thirty-year legal career, which included her role as General Counsel for the 3500-location optometry franchise, Vision Source. Elizabeth’s entrepreneurial spirit and operational excellence led to her role as Chief Operating Officer of The Brookwood Community, a community where several hundred adults with disabilities live and work. At the close of the pandemic, Elizabeth received Houston’s “Woman Who Means Business” award for her exceptional service and business acumen at Brookwood. Elizabeth currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of First Freedom Art Company, a portfolio company of CAZ Investments, an alternative investment firm in Houston with $11 billion AUM.
Elizabeth is the author of Americans Who Pray: Uniting a Nation in Faith and Freedom, which was published by BroadStreet on March 31st. Elizabeth is also the Executive Producer of the documentary, An American Storyteller: The Art of Arnold Friberg, which is now available on Amazon Prime and won “Most Creative Documentary” in the International Christian Film and Music Festival.
Elizabeth has taught adult Bible study at her church for over twenty-five years, was
Chairman of the Board for Family Legacy Ministries International, and serves on both the Board of Regents for Baylor University and the Advisory Board for the Hankamer
School of Business at Baylor. Elizabeth is a frequent speaker on the causes of faith and freedom.
Elizabeth is married to Dr. Trent Carlyle, an orthopedic surgeon in the Houston area.
They have two adult children, Cooper and Caroline.
